E Currency Exchange Scam Tuesday, May 27 2008

Are you sick and tired of those HYIP programs that claim you will get rich or make millions fast? I know I just had enough of them that is why I did my homework and researched the best work at home programs on the internet.

E currency was the business that everyone referred me to. So I found a book that taught me how the e currency exchange system works. Because without any help or someone to guide you thru the steps to set it up, it is very confusing and hard to understand. I invested $400 and within one week my money shot up to $500. Now this is an investment program so you know you are not going to get scammed out of your money. E currency trading is done every day throughout the world.

Now let me tell how the e currency exchange network can put money into your pocket. First you are going to open a portfolio and the second is with a console. When opening an e currency account, you will be asked to create a portfolio and fund your portfolio. This investment can be anywhere from $25 to $100,000. I would recommend a small amount until you become familiar with e currency trading system. Your portfolio is compounded daily and receives gains anywhere from .3% to .5% each day. For example, if you funded your portfolio with a $10,000 investment, each day your portfolio would net $30 of profit. Over the course of one month a $10,000 portfolio would make $900. With these profits you can either reinvest into your portfolio to maximize your profits, or out-exchange the money to your bank account.

Learn how the e currency exchange system helped me turn a $400 investment into a $4,1000 investment in under 3 months. To find out more information visit E currency Online

What Will I Be Doing Now That I Have Signed Up For A Home Business? Tuesday, May 27 2008

Many new Affiliates join a home business program not really having any idea what it is they will be doing now that they have been made owners of their own home business.

It can be summed up in one word: PROMOTION-

This one word must be broken down into a specific outline for one to have a more clear understanding of their new business.

Three key elements are involved here.

1. Drive
2. Knowledge
3. Action

To be successful with a new home business, one must put all three elements into play in the form of PROMOTION.

Therefore, let’s discuss each element and the way in which it applies to promotion, which in turn results in home business success.

DRIVE:

To build a business at home from scratch one must have a burning desire to create self-sufficiency and even wealth as an entrepreneur.

Drive is the internal mechanism from whence our dreams spring forth. Drive is what will propel us forward day in and day out as we go about the required promotional activities to build our business, such as

-Responding to emails

-Creating and submitting advertisements

-Adding relevant content to our websites that will increase traffic and sales

-Writing articles

Drive, combined with definition and purpose, is a powerful force as it relates to home business promotion. Without definition and purpose, drive is impotent and your business will not succeed. Simply signing up for a business out of general desire or drive, yet lacking design is pointless.

KNOWLEDGE:

Personal responsibility and laying claim to our own sense of responsibility is key here as it relates to home business success and garnering home business knowledge. You must learn, in detail, every relevant aspect that applies to your business.

Signing up for a program and then taking no action to learn the full details involved in that program will result in failure. Likely, full training is available to you both through reading and perhaps via an individual mentor. Take advantage of both to the fullest.

Read everything in your training. If you stop at the basics, then your results will be basic to non-existent. Ask questions of your mentor. He or she will be glad to help you individually.

Participate in forums. Go beyond that-research everything you come across in detail as it relates to your business.

With knowledge, you will be armed to promote your business.

ACTION:

Brimming with desire and armed with knowledge, you will begin to take the specific steps required to successfully build your business. Having taken the time to learn your promotional methods you will begin to apply them with daily action.

Think things through first, and choreograph your activities with an organized plan. Don’t expect perfection. Hone, develop and utilize the methods of promotional action that work; discard those that don’t work and pass along what you have learned to those that follow after you.

You have the desire, now learn, then act, and most importantly have fun! Success will likely follow.

How to Measure Your Horse’s Height Tuesday, May 27 2008

Have you ever wondered exactly how tall your horse is? Well, next time you are going to the barn, bring a tape measure and find out for yourself!

When you get to the barn, get your horse and walk him to a flat surface (concrete or level dirt). Make sure your horse is standing squarely on all four feet.

Take out the tape measure and from the ground, pull the tape up to the highest point on your horse’s withers. Make sure the tape measure is perpendicular to the ground. Don’t pull the tape measure to meet the horse’s withers. Pull it straight up from the ground - your tape measure should be about 1 - 2 feet away from your horse’s withers.

Use a flat surface (like a small piece of wood, name plate, crop, book, etc) and place it on your horse’s withers to meet the tape measure. This way, you will get a very accurate measurement.

When you find the measurement, just match it up on the table below.

inches---feet---hands---meters
 56"-----4'-8----14------1.42
 57"-----4'-9----14.1----1.45
 58"-----4'-10---14.2----1.47
 59"-----4'-11---14.3----1.50
 60"-----5'-0----15------1.52
 61"-----5'-1----15.1----1.55
 62"-----5'-2----15.2----1.57
 63"-----5'-3----15.3----1.60
 64"-----5'-4----16------1.63
 65"-----5'-5----16.1----1.65
 66"-----5'-6----16.2----1.68
 67"-----5'-7----16.3----1.70
 68"-----5'-8----17------1.73
 69"-----5'-9----17.1----1.75
 70"-----5'-10---17.2----1.78
 71"-----5'-11---17.3----1.80
 72"-----6'-0----18------1.83

Also, keep in mind when your horse was last shod. This can have a pretty large impact, especially if you are aiming to hit that “14′2″ mark!

Dogs From Animal Shelters Monday, May 26 2008

from David the Dogman

The ten worst excuses not to spay or neuter a pet are:

  1. Just one litter and then we’ll have Fluffy spayed.

(Studies show that virtually the entire pet overpopulation stems from the “just one litter mentality.)

  2. My dog doesn’t run loose, so he doesn’t need to be fixed.

    (Murphy’s Law says otherwise.)

  3. We always find homes for the kittens.

(And that means that an equal number of kittens at the pound will be killed.)

  4. I want the children to witness the miracle of birth.

    (Rent a video.)

  5. My dog is so cute and unique, there should be more of her.

(The shelters and pounds are full of cute and unique dogs, most with only a few days to live.)

  6. It’s not natural.

(There hasn’t been anything “natural” about dogs since we began to develop breeds thousands of years ago.)

  7. I just couldn’t look my dog in the eye if I had him castrated.

    (Watch it, you’re anthropomorphiizing.)

  8. A female dog or cat should have at least one litter for health reasons.

    (Medically, factually and ethicaly indefensible.)

  9. Neutering my dog will make him fat and lazy.

(Too much food and not enough exercise make a dog fat and lazy.)

  10. Fixing my pet will change its personality.

(The main influences on an animal’s personality are the kindness and care with which it is raised.)

Commitment, Firmness, but kindness.

Professional Writers Learn To Manage Their Emotions Sunday, May 25 2008

Summary: Learning to survive in the marketplace requires some fancy emotional footwork. Read these tips for raising your writer’s emotional I.Q.

Professional Writers Learn To Manage Their Emotions

By Bonnie Boots

Unpublished writers often feel being paid for publication is the benchmark of a “real” writer So they read all the books on writing and dutifully send off queries, filled with hope and fear that one will be accepted; hope they’ll get the chance to be a real writer, fear they won’t live up to the challenge. Sadly, for some, their fears will turn out to be well founded. The emotional toll of writing for publication will be more painful then they can bear. Shocked, wounded, these natural writers will put their dreams behind them in the mistaken belief that they’re not good enough to write for publication.

Why does this happen? Because books on writing often fail to tell the aspiring writer the one thing they most need to know: the marketplace demands more than talent. It demands that the writer be skilled at dancing between the emotional states of passion and detachment. It seems like a conundrum, and it is, so let’s unravel this riddle.

The writer filled with fervor for the process of writing produces the best product. And in the marketplace, that’s just what your article, poem, short story or novel isa product. Products, whether they are romance novels or car wax, are pretty much processed, pimped and put on the shelves the same way. All sorts of people, from editors to advertising sales managers, have their hand in the marketing process. They have the power to tweak, alter and otherwise transfigure the product. As a writer, it takes emotional detachment to watch, even help as your beloved work is worked on.

The ability to call forth and control your emotional states is a primary survival skill if you hope to write for print. Can it be learned? Yes. In his book “Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More than IQ,” Daniel Goleman says the ability to master emotions often makes the difference between success and failure in people of equivalent intellectual abilities. He suggests these steps for increasing self-control:

(1) Pay attention to your emotional states. Don’t just let excitement or fear run riot over you. Use your writer’s “inner eye” to observe and record your own emotional states. Simply being aware of your emotions is the first step to controlling them.

(2) Get it off your chest. Rejection hurts. Seeing your carefully considered words edited for publication is painful. If your feelings have been hurt, by all means vent, but do it in a journal and not, under any circumstance, in a nasty email to an editor or a hastily posted blog. Nothing is learned from burning bridges, and you could seriously injure your chances of ever being published. Editors and publishers read the net, too, you know.

(3) Consider the other person’s point of view. Editors and publishers have to deal with issues you know nothing about. Before you take personal offence, stop to consider their side. If an editor doesn’t quickly answer your query, stop and imagine the view from their desk. If you got 1000 letters a week AND had to handle the work of 2 because of staff cuts, might you put mail on the back burner?

(4) Try not to take it personally. This can be especially difficult for writers, because our work is so very personal. But when your feelings are hurt, it’s important to take a step back and realize that in business, decisions may need to been made that have nothing to do with YOU, personally.

(5) Stay well-mannered and self-motivated. Being polite and persevering even when your feelings have been hurt is a definite sign of emotional maturity. The ability to keep your cool and keep moving ahead will take you places talent alone can only dream of.

Like any skill, learning to waltz between passion and dispassion takes practice and persistence. Some writers tap a tentative foot, then withdraw to be wallflowers the first time someone steps on their toes. But you can survive and even thrive by joining the dance with passion and purpose, accepting the thrills as well as the spills as you learn to step with the tune.

Two Ways To Overcome Writing Fear And Recover Your Creativity Sunday, May 25 2008

Fear… that icy cold sinking sensation in the pit of your stomach when you think about starting work on your next project. Or working on your current project. Writer’s block. No inspiration. How do writers and artists overcome fear?

You let go — physically relax. If you’re completely loose and relaxed, you CANNOT feel fear - and of especial interest to creatives: a completely physically relaxed state is a creative state.

Fear makes you tighten up.

When artistic fear strikes, if you tighten up, your mind is instantly flooded with scary ideas and scenarios which make you tighten up even more. This breaks you mentally, triggering an avalanche of mental horrors. In this state, it seems to you that the only way to stay safe is to run away — to forget about your creativity.

The trick is: don’t try to fight the fear. Let go. If you completely physically relax, your fear vanishes.

Can’t relax? Take a course in progressive muscle relaxation. Many hospitals offer them for their patients. Bernd Harmsen has an excellent free online course here —

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/har/les1.htm

=> Shush!… Avoid confrontations

In addition to using physical relaxation, it’s wise to avoid confronting your inner dragons head-on. Until you’ve overcome your artistic fears, never say, or think: “I’m writing a book”, or “I’m writing an article”.

Give yourself a break, and let go of all the expectations you have for your artistic endeavors. Tell yourself you’re just going to have fun, and mean it.

Remember to physically relax before you begin to write. Then use Leonardo da Vinci’s technique for getting ideas. It’s fun, and completely non-threatening.

Get a blank sheet of paper, and a pencil. Close your eyes, and make doodles, scribbles and squiggles and lines all over the paper. Take as long as you like. Open your eyes. Can you see any images or patterns in the scribbles? Your scribbling and doodling is a message from your subconscious mind.

Many of Leonardo’s inventions are said to have come from his doodling and scribbling.

Try these two techniques to overcome your artistic fears and rediscover your creativity. They work.

Art Needs Time to Flower - Even in Cyberspace Saturday, May 24 2008

The speed of the internet has profoundly changed many (or most) people’s perceptions of writing and publishing. It has affected our sense of TIME.

Everything is accelerated. If we can copy and paste a story or article and submit it via e-mail within a matter of minutes then is seems strange to still have to wait a few months for response. We’ve come to expect quick results in cyberspace.

It’s easy to forget, as we’re staring at computer-generated characters and interacting with an animated screen, that we’re still sending our work out to another human being. That person has their own schedule, their own set of opinions and values when it comes to stories, articles, and poems…to sum it up, they have a life away from the computer. The internet is the medium, not the message.

Microsoft word has helped foster the illusion that anyone can be a writer. Who needs to learn spelling and grammar when the program can find and fix such errors? Again we have a distortion of our sense of time. Instead of building up our talent, and nurturing our ability over a long period of trial and error, we want to plow right in to that bestseller.

The reality is that creativity follows its own rhythms, a natural ebb and flow. The process by which a writer’s life experience percolates inside and then bursts forth in a new form is something that can be forced only at great cost to the work.

Consider “The Lord of the Rings”, the most influencial fantasy of the last century. J.R.R. Tolkien labored over that novel for twelve years. Readers nowadays might cry: “What a waste! Imagine what he could have done with modern technology!” when they hear that he spent an entire year simply hammering out a final typescript.

What is seldom pointed out, though, is that this more painstaking process allowed him to carefully consider EVERY WORD that he set down in type. And fifty years after their publication, those words still ring with power and wonder.

Perhaps its a blessing that he didn’t have spell-check.

The bottom line for writers is this: technology in many ways HAS made our work easier. It’s done away with some of the grind, so we can more fully devote our energy to the creative process. Now if we can only keep in mind that that process works according to its own timetable. Lets not try to force it to keep up with the speed of our machines.

Achieving Your Definite Major Purpose Friday, May 23 2008

(Excerpts From The Book)
Successercising
“The Science Of Success Achievement Course”
The Equivalent To A PhD In Success From The University Of Hard Knocks

In his all time best selling book, Think And Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill mentions in his first chapter that throughout the book he will be referring many times to “The Carnegie Secret.” He said he would not tell you what that secret is, but when you are ready, it will jump off the page and into your brain. He said, “When the Student is ready - the master will appear.” The doors will open - the lights will turn green - the ideas will come - the money will come - the people will be there to help you.

Since 1970 we have been teaching the principles of success that Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to study and share with the world. Napoleon Hill spent his entire lifetime researching the most successful people of all times from around the world.

Many, many times in our classes, workshops, talks, rallies, and in our Master Mind Alliance Success Club meetings we have asked this question to those in our audience who had read the book Think and Grow Rich,

What is The Carnegie Secret that Napoleon Hill referred to in his book?

We got all kinds of guesses and some answers that were somewhat close.

Here is ——- The Carnegie Secret

1. Have a definite major purpose.

What is the most important thing you would like to accomplish in your lifetime? Try to define it in one paragraph, even if you have to keep rewriting it a hundred times until it gets as clear as possible. It has to be the most important thing in your life. Mahatma Gandhi’s definite major purpose was to win independence for India from their British rulers. He succeeded. Dr. Martin Luther King’s was equality and the end of oppression for black people. Doctor Jonas Salk’s was to find the cure and end for polio. Thomas Edison’s was the incandescent light bulb. What is yours?

If you don’t currently have what you feel is a definite major purpose, then have a definite major purpose to find your definite major purpose.

It has to be something you want so bad that you think about it all of the time.

2. Be willing to stake your entire existence on achieving It.

Don’t Quit. There Are Many Starters In Life, But Very Few Finishers - When The Going Gets Tough They Quit. A person with a definite major purpose never gives up - no matter how long and tough the road is; instead, they become more determined. Jack London was rejected over 600 times before he finally sold his first piece of writing. Thomas Edison actually failed over 9,999 times before he perfected the incandescent light bulb, and over 5,000 times before he perfected the world’s first phonograph record player. There will be times when everything in you will tell you to quit - to stop trying, but if you hang in there, eventually, you will - you must succeed. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Persistence is the power to hold on in spite of everything - to endure.

It’s the ability to face defeat repeatedly without giving upto push on even in the face of great difficulty or danger. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that is necessary to reach your goals. You win, because you refuse to become discouraged by your defeats. Those who conquer are those who endure.

3. Keep intensifying your desire.

There are many “firemen” in life that will come along and try to put your fire of desire out. They will give you all kinds of reasons why your idea or goal won’t work and tell you to give it up, forget it, or tell you “You can’t do it.” You have to become an Arsonist. An arsonist sets fires. Every morning when you wake up you have to re-light and re-build the intensity of your fire of desire. You have to eat it, sleep it, walk it, talk it, and concentrate on it until it becomes a red-hot flaming, burning, obsessional desire that will eventually mow down all of the opposition you will face throughout each day. If you don’t, your Sizzle of desire will fizzle down to nothing. I’m not suggesting that you stop talking to or seeing your family and friends - what I’m saying is to keep focused day and night, seven days a week. This will bring into play: The law of harmonious attraction. Your burning desire becomes a magnet. You will attract that which you need; the ideas and plans, the money you need, and the people you need to help you. They will eventually gravitate toward your desire.

4. Have bulldog determination AND PERSEVERANCE That Will EventualLY Mow Down All Opposition.

Expect lots of problems, adversities, and discouragement along the way. Go around it - go over it - go under it - or dig a hole through it - but don’t ever turn back. Make your Definite Major Purpose the dominating thought in your mind. It is a known fact that people who have had great achievement - formed the habit of making an “obsession” of their Definite Major Purpose. Andrew Carnegie said to put all of your eggs in one basket and then watch the basket. Andrew Carnegie’s definite major purpose, which he wrote down at an early age and kept in his desk, was to earn as much money as he can in life and then, in the end, to set up the Carnegie Foundation to give it all away to worthy causes. Even after his death long ago, the Carnegie Foundation is still giving away millions every year to help mankind.

I have been teaching The Science of Success Achievement Course since 1970. There were many times when I taught the course to as many as ten different groups per week. Some in major hotels, some in large corporate training rooms, in the YMCA, in hundreds of real estate and insurance offices, in prisons, rehab centers, and for many sales and marketing groups of people.

In all of my classes, (There were ten separate 4-hour classes to the course,) I always told my students at the end of the first class - “For your homework this week, I want you to read the first four chapters of Think And Grow Rich (I always had stacks of the book there to sell them.) As you read each page, write a list of all of the things the author is telling you to do and the things he is telling you not to do. Then, I want you to carry that list with you every day and keep reviewing your list and keep doing the things the author told you to do. And then come back to the class #2 next week and tell the class about the list you made, what actions you took as a result of reading the book, and what results you got.”

At the beginning of the class on the following week I would always start out by asking - By a show of hands, how many of you read the first four chapters of Think And Grow Rich? About 2% would raise their hands. The rest didn’t take the time to read it. Then I would ask the 2% How many of you read the first four chapters and made the list I told you to make of all of the things the author told you to do? Usually about three hands went up. I asked each of them - How many items do you have on your list of the things the author told you to do? The first person said three. The second person said nine. The third person said - 90 items

I asked the person who had ninety on her list to come to the front of the classroom.

I said to the others - You people paid good money to take this course because you wanted to achieve greater success. How can you expect the results you hoped for if you aren’t willing to take notes and to put in practice what you are learning?

Then I had the lady read from her list of 90 items. And the class was surprised at how powerful and important the things on her list were.

I asked the class - How many of you are speed reader? All kinds of hands went up. Then I told them about an incident when I was at a party and someone asked me what I do for a living. I told him that I teach a course based around the book Think And Grow Rich. He said, “That’s a book that we teach from at our speed reading school.” Then I asked him, “What were the greatest lessons you learned from the book?” He tried to think and then said, “I don’t remember that book so well.” I later found out that he was a speed-reading instructor. I thought to myself - There’s a guy that can read 10,000 words a minute and remember nothing.

Think And Grow Rich is so powerful that it’s the kind of book you have to read very slowly and carefully, many times until it becomes a part of your life and habits. I have been reading the book every year since 1970. Each year I pull it back off the shelf and let it fire me up for the achievement of my new goals for the year.

The End
